Dear Reader,
Doing a little book club housekeeping today.
Some reminders:
1. The new Penguin Classic, Ernest Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises is posted. Be sure to read the sample and you can also enter the giveaway. For the sample read and the giveaway click here. Congratulations to Simone K. who won the January Penguin Classic giveaway.
2. Keep the book club fun, and read guilt-free. If a featured book isn't a good match for you, don't feel guilty about hitting the delete key. I feature a new title every Monday. But before you hit that delete key, be sure to read my daily Dear Reader column. Who knows, you might win one of my wacky book club giveaways, or be the lucky winner of two dozen of my homemade chocolate chip cookies. I bake cookies once a month for readers.
3. Remember, if you miss receiving one of your daily reads, email, click on the READ ONLINE option in your daily read. Not only will you see a colorful book jacket, and author info, you'll find reads from previous days. Don't be shy. I'm here to help if you need it.
4. If you have a comment, book suggestion, or need assistance, send me an email. I always appreciate feedback from readers.
5. If you won something at the book club and the item is missing from your mailbox, be sure to let me know. I'll track it down for you.
6. Feel free to enter giveaways every day. However, if you've won something at the book club, you are not eligible to win again for six months.
7. Watch this August for the 18th Annual Write a DearReader contest. You could win a cash prize for yourself and the library in your city, and the winning "Dear Readers" are featured in one of my daily reads. This week I'll be featuring two of last year's Honorable Mention entries in my column.
Well, that's a wrap. Tune in tomorrow. If you have a minute, drop me a line. Reading book club reader emails is the best part of my day.
Thanks for reading with me. It's so good to read with friends.
Warmest regards,
Suzanne Beecher
