Dear Reader,
"When is your birthday?" It can be awkward when I'm inspired to ask, especially if the person is someone I just met. The nurse who assisted me with my recent cataract surgery, after spending 30 minutes in pre-op with her, it felt like we had known each other for years. I think she did find it strange though, when I asked about her birthday, but then again, she probably thought the calming drugs were starting to kick in, so she did tell me and I quickly recorded it on my phone.
Keeping track of people's birthdays is one of the little things in life that brings me a lot of joy. I don't expect people to reciprocate. Everyone has a different "assignment" here on earth and fortunately for me, remembering birthdays is one of mine.

"A big Happy Birthday to you, Suzanne. I have your birthday marked on my kitchen calendar... I hope you have a most delightful day, full of bubbles and sunshine. -- Dawn R. who would love to see 67 again or even your husband's 73 (turning 74 next week)
"Happy Birthday, Suzanne! I hope you feel celebrated. Btw, May 25 is my granddaughter's birthday. She told her mom this morning, 'I just don't feel five years old.'" -- Sharon B.
"Hi Suzanne, Hope you have great plans for your birthday on Wednesday! You deserve to be treated and celebrated royally! Thank you for brightening every day for all of us, regardless of what kind of day you are having! You continue to amaze me! -- Laurie H.
"Happy Birthday Suzanne! I'm assuming your birthday is the 26th since most of your readers see the newsletter in the morning. I am turning 68 at 11:58 pm PDT tonight (the 25th) so Happy Birthday to both of us! I will say that 68 definitely feels older than 65! We are certainly blessed to be able to celebrate. Enjoy your birthday party this weekend and all the special memories you will look back on." -- Best wishes, Carol A.
"Happy Birthday Suzanne! Hope you and your family have a wonderful day! Thanks for sharing exciting new books and your personal stories in your book clubs! Have a fabulous Bday!" -- Sincerely, Erika Y. J.

"A very, very happy 67th birthday, Suzanne. I am just as amused as your husband because in August I am happily going to celebrate my 84th so you have quite a while before you catch up to me!" -- Joanne
"I just wanted to drop in on your day/evening and wish you a very VERY happy birthday. You deserve all the best and wonderful memories you create for yourself and others. You have a gift and you share it so freely. It is my pleasure to read with you. Have a WONDERFUL SUZANNE BIRTHDAY young lady because young, you will always be." -- Hugs, Mary
"Happy Birthday today! You are an inspiration to me. I have used several of your creative ideas with my family. I love your sharing life with your readers! Keep giving us those wonderful ideas and may you have a fantastic birthday! And the added bonus of reading some of the books you offer with your book clubs. Thank you for being you! " -- Sincerely, Kellie A.
"Happy Birthday, Suzanne! Every birthday is worth celebrating! Thanks for sharing your life with us. Hope your weekend celebration will be splendid!" -- Best wishes, Barb H.
"Here's a celebration of your birthday I hope you'll enjoy. I turned 71 this year--and my body feels the results of a mostly sedentary year. But in my mind, I'm still the granola-eating hippie living on a commune just south of Yosemite. At least I'm still baking bread...Cheers & Happy Birthday, one of your zillion reading friends," -- Cedar
"Happy birthday, Suzanne! I hope you have a lovely day! You know what they say about our age...it's only a number. Just like when we have to step on the scale...it's only a number. However, in both cases, the bigger the number, the more terrifying." -- Fondly, Andrea D.
Thanks for reading with me. It's so good to read with friends.
