Dear Reader,
I have odds and ends today, two giveaways and a big announcement!
Announcing...that tomorrow instead of reading my column, you'll have the pleasure of reading the 3rd Place winning entry in this year's Write a DearReader Contest. Wednesday the 2nd Place entry will be featured, and in Thursday's column I'll introduce you to this year's First Place winner!
The entries this year were truly amazing. It was extremely difficult to choose winners. There were so many exceptional entries, I've also chosen 23 Honorable Mention stories and I'll be sharing those with you, too.
I'll be featuring special giveaways every week this month, so be sure to enter.
Don't miss this opportunity from Penguin Random House! Enter for a chance to win their Fill Your Fall Bookshelves sweepstakes! One lucky winner will win a collection of 40 big fall books and audiobooks.
I'm planning a socially distanced, outdoor Thanksgiving for nine people in my family. Everything is disposable, everyone wears a mask, except when eating but then we'll be six feet apart. Antibacterial wipes on every table, separate servings spoons when folks dish up, and a grand game of BINGO after dinner. Bailey, my granddaughter, who lives in Madison, Wisconsin always comes to visit during Thanksgiving. But since it's impossible this year, I mailed her two BINGO cards and she'll be playing BINGO with us via Zoom. See photos of my outdoor designs for the individual tables, some of our Bingo prizes, and enter today's vintage inspired Thanksgiving Honeycomb Turkey giveaway, click here.
Enjoy the photos and enter the Penguin Random House Fill Your Fall Bookshelves sweepstakes and the vintage turkey giveaway today. Have fun and I hope you're a winner!
Thanks for reading with me. It's so good to read with friends.

MISTAKEN IDENTITY (Thriller) by Michael W. Sherer
Suspended FBI agent Jenny Roberts is going home for the first time in 15 years--if she makes it there alive. Mistaken for a woman who witnessed a murder, Jenny and the witness are chased cross-country 'Thelma-and-Louise' style where Jenny hopes to join forces with the family of cops that raised her to face off against the killer.
In a starred review, Publishers Weekly says, "Sherer keeps the live wires of his complex plot sparking and distinct...a sharp and satisfying thriller."
