Dear Reader,
Thanks for taking the time to write. Reading your mail is the best part of my day. Readers sure responded to Tuesday's column about my husband. I've definitely got a "keeper." My husband and I have been married 36 years and it just keeps getting better and better.
"Suzanne, so happy to hear that your husband takes such good care of you. You are a lucky woman! To have a husband like that, is better than winning the lottery."--Beatriz R.
"I'll bet that mine is not the only request that you will receive, to see if we could rent your husband, to give our husbands a tutorial! He certainly sounds like a keeper."--Jean
"You really made me laugh when you were telling us about drinking from the milk jug. I do the same thing--drink from the milk, oj, and chocolate milk jugs--but then I live alone so I don't think it's a big deal. Also like you, when expecting company I'm sure to buy new jugs of everything for my guests. I am two days late reading your column, but better late than never. Thank you so much for constantly giving me something to chuckle about. You truly made my day."--Robina M.
"Your email today really hit home with me. You see, my husband is a kidney transplant recipient. He waited over five years before receiving this life saving surgery. Five plus long years of dialysis three times a week, Four plus hours at a time. Five long years of getting sicker and sicker, but doing so slowly so that the progress was not as noticeable to us. It was 6 months after the surgery when he told me 'I never realized just how bad I felt on a daily basis until now, when I feel so good.' We give thanks each and every day for the gracious donor who gave his organs once he no longer needed them. Thank you very much for being an organ donor."--Debbie K.
"Hello Suzanne, I arrive early to work so I can read with you, so, please keep doing what you do. I love it."--Cheryl G.
