Dear Reader,
The familiar idiom declares, "Home is where the heart is," and right now it couldn't be truer for me. My heart wants to stick close to home; fixing up, rearranging furniture, painting the guest room, cooking, sewing and potting plants. But my mind scolds me, 'You should be digging into work, Suzanne--real work. Your job. The work you get paid to do.'
Why do I fight the desires of my heart? I haven't quite figured out the answer to that question, but I do know that when my heart is satisfied and filled with joy, the rest of my life flows easier. When I listen to my heart's desire, my 9 to 5 work gets done with gusto, because the cooking and sewing and painting are my waiting rewards. One passion feeds creativity in another. If I'll only give myself permission, to recognize that today, "Home is where my heart is."
Thanks for reading with me. It's so good to read with friends.
Warmest regards,
Suzanne Beecher
