Dear Reader,
What a great day! My email box has been pleasantly filled with bookplate requests--if you've purchased my book Muffins and Mayhem and would like an autographed bookplate and a bookmark, just let me know.
It seems like my book has inspired readers to cook and maybe even make a love connection?
From my Email Bag:
(My single, brother-in-law, sent me this email.)
"Suzanne, to show my appreciation to a wonderful and caring person, I gave your book to the woman who supervises the meal program, in which I participate at the Senior Citizen Center near my home. I eat lunch there about three times a week. She's already finished reading it and loved it. Last night she invited me over for supper and made two recipes from the book. They were Company Fare Pork Chops and Funeral Cake with Buttercream Frosting. I plan to give the book to another woman who I know will want to cook me something from the recipes, too. I eat better and more often because of Muffins and Mayhem."
"Hi Suzanne, after thirty years of marriage and four kids, I thought I'd made every type of meat loaf tried by humankind, but your (Mrs. Creswick's) recipe with French dressing topped with mayonnaise/mashed potato dressing is tasty! I've made it twice in the last couple of weeks."--Pam Pugh
"Dear Suzanne, it was my son's 9th birthday and when I asked him what kind of cake he wanted he told me 'lava cake!' Now I had just gotten your book and read past that point [where you talk about Lava Cakes] or I wouldn't have even known what the heck he was talking about. When I asked him where he had heard of Lava Cakes, he said some kids at school had been talking about them and how good they were. I told him 'well it just so happens I have a recipe for that so I will try it out.' They were a huge hit with everyone, tasted awesome and my other son wants me to make them again for his birthday in July."--Best Regards, Kari Fenrich
