Dear Reader,
There's something good in everything, I really do believe it and I've discovered something good, something very good, about still being sick. (It's just a really bad cold, not to worry.) The good news about being sick is that it takes all of my energy just to concentrate on the work in front of me. So I don't have any energy left to worry about all the other stuff that's normally on my list.
I'm a worrier from way back. I like to keep my worry list up-to-date and run through it several times a day, just to make sure I'm not slighting any problems. Wouldn't want a problem to worry I wasn't worrying about it. (That one sentence alone exposes the absurdity of my worrying.) But I've noticed that since I've been under the weather, there's only so much of my energy to go around, so that worry list? Haven't thought about it in days. And so far nothing horrible has happened. In fact, quite the opposite.
The deadline for the manuscript of my book is at the end of February--and since I've set my worry list aside, I've been getting so much work done that I may even finish early. But then again, what happens when I finally get rid of this cold? If being sick is the only reason I've been so productive, what's going to happen when I'm not sick any more?
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, looks like I have a new worry.
Thanks for reading with me. It's so good to read with friends.

I worry too; however, I try to remember that....
Worrying is like sitting in a rocking chair...it doesn't get you anywhere - it just gives you something to do.
