Dear Reader,
Last month 20,471 readers joined the book club! This is exciting news. I am thrilled. Thank you for encouraging your friends and family to join. Every day I get emails from readers who are telling someone about their daily read. Some readers even create their own version of the book club.
"Dear Suzanne, I live in a 55-plus community in Florida. Many of our residents are shut-ins due to their age and serious illness. I check out your books at the library and take them to these residents to read. They have brought so much joy to our community.
The sharing of your books have allowed me to see so many smiling faces and make lives happier. The residents love to see me come visit and they are always anxious to read your next book.
Because of you sharing your wonderful books and time with others, you have made so many happy. Sometimes we never realize the impact that our good deeds have on others. I just wanted to let you know that the joy you bring to me through your books, is forwarded on to many others. You are a blessing to so many." --God bless you, Cheryl
Thanks for reading with me. It's so good to read with friends.
I love reading, but i haven't been reading lately since school started. I keep a personal log of what I read and when I start and finish reading it. I hope to read at least 35 books this year. I love science fiction (I guess cause I'm a guy), but I'm seventeen years old and I kind of have to get some different types of literature (I'm in English AP). So of course I signed up for most of the emails to be sent to my computer. I don't know many other males that like to read, maybe i could make a new friend here. I enkoy discussing books to because I than understand them better and see the significance.
I recently had to read Chocolat by Joanne Harris (which was so good and left me craving for chocolate after i finished it in 4 days)
And i read The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne (I thought it was a little complicated because of the language, a little boring, and kind of interesting...like a Shakespearean Jerry Springer episode)
